Outside my window...it is the last day of February and it was a glorious one! Beautiful, beautiful weather today.
I am thinking...how not anxious I am for mosquitoes to come back.
I am thankful for...a night to zone out and watch a movie with my husband.
From the learning rooms...reading, tracing, violin, ballet, nature study - butterflies and things popping up in the garden!! and gathering things to send to our Compassion little girl.
From the kitchen...black beans and mango salsa, fresh bread, fresh yogurt, blueberry pancakes, vegetable fried rice, grilled steak and sweet potatoes, garden vegetable soup, and more surprises
I am wearing...a cotton housedress thing. Not like the zip-up polyester kind little old ladies wear to pick up the newspaper but like a dress only more nightgown-y than is appropriate for, say, going to the grocery store.
I am creating...the muslin for my winter coat. Because a winter coat is so useful when tomorrow is March 1.
I am going...to sell things at the semi-annual community-wide children's consignment sale this weekend. I hope people buy my stuff!
I am reading...a book of short stories called Binocular Vision by Edith Pearlman. I love short stories.
I am hoping...to get started on my spring cleaning this week, but it will probably be next week before I get around to doing it.
I am hearing...the dehumidifier running, again. Gotta draw out that humidity somehow. Also, David started the movie so the previews are going on in the background.
Around the house...things are not tidied up yet. Unless this is a really spectacular movie, I'm probably going to be getting up a couple times to put some things away. Unsurprisingly, it's mostly my stuff that's lying about.
One of my favorite things...the things my children say. Isabel told me she's "sufficiently dirty" today and Hugh Kelly's most common phrase is "I fell." He does, often. It can be worrying.
A few plans for the rest of the week: reading, creating yellow things, making lists, teaching, consignment selling (and buying), making a present for my mother-in-law's birthday this Saturday, attending one of Isabel's little ballet friend's birthday party on Saturday...busy busy busy!
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...garden bounty!
