Outside my window...the sun is bright and sparkling, the air is warming up. We'll reach the upper 70s by the end of the week!
I am thinking...about how to organize the sewing room best so I can get in there and use it and stop sewing on the dining room table.
I am thankful for...sweet valentines from my family, birthday gifts that come in the mail, pink sparkly nail polish, and cinnamon raisin bread.
From the learning rooms...not much going on this week outside the basics: reading, memory work, writing practice, some counting and nature study.
From the kitchen...crockpot Italian chicken tonight! It was supposed to be our dinner last night but the chicken hadn't defrosted completely. Also, fresh bread, fresh yogurt, fresh salad greens from the garden.
I am wearing...a white embroidered tank top, pink button-up shirt left un-buttoned, denim skirt.
I am creating...I found some vintage strawberry printed material in my fabric stash and washed it. There isn't enough to make anything substantial from it, but it matches another piece of fabric I have that is red and I'm thinking of making Isabel a little dress or smock with that and using the strawberry print for pockets and binding.
I am going...to the library to pay my fines. Terrible, isn't it?
I am reading...The Disappearing Spoon.
I am hoping...my energy levels start normalizing soon.
I am hearing...My daughter reciting her memory verses to David and my son wandering around singing nonsense syllables.
Around the house...there is laundry that needs to be folded and a kitchen that needs to be cleaned up. The day has begun!
One of my favorite things...this chocolate coffee banana almond milk smoothie my husband made for me. Yummy.
A few plans for the rest of the week: begin planning spring cleaning, violin group practice this Saturday morning with a handful of my and my mom's students, Isabel attending her first peer birthday party Saturday afternoon...I'm a little nervous about the party and Isabel's new gluten-free existence, but the mom and the little girl are very sweet so I think it will be a good time.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...Valentine's dinner and rose. The rose my husband brought home for my daughter for Valentine's Day.

What a pretty rose!
And what is up with library fines? I always think it'll be so easy to avoid those fines, and yet I owe over $5 right now! That and since they are still letting me check out books I don't have the motivation to pay the fine :)
Isn't it pretty? It just gets prettier and prettier as it opens up. My daughter keeps telling me she's going to keep it forever and ever....I'm trying to explain flowers don't last forever and ever, but her heart is set on it. *sigh*
I do, too! I even write it on the calender when the library books are due! But I got my daughter's books due date mixed up with my books. And she had 18 checked out at once. And they were eight days late. And it's 10 cents per day. But, yeah, they still let us check out books so I'm not terribly motivated to pay the $16, which is why I'm just now getting around to paying the fine because she's been asking to use the library kid computers with the kid games and she needs her card to do that and you can't have any fines on your card in order to use it for the computers and...yeah. So don't sweat the $5. :)
